About the trekking

Embark on a remarkable five-day journey starting on the shores of Lake Titicaca, one of the world’s highest navigable lakes, surrounded by stunning snow-capped peaks and ancient terraces. For three days, you’ll explore the area, walking along the shores, visiting lakeside villages, and discovering sacred islands rich with pre-Columbian history and significant Inca ceremonial sites.

Your trek will take you along well-preserved stone paths that gradually elevate from 3,800 meters to ridge-top viewpoints near 4,000 meters, leading you to archaeological complexes once inhabited by priests and noble families.

Next, you’ll take boats between Sun and Moon Islands before transitioning to Moko-Moko for a three-day journey into the legendary homeland of a distinctive culture known for its rich influence. Starting from a lakeside community, you’ll descend along an ancient pre-Columbian trail through surreal stone corridors, witnessing impressive rock formations that evoke a sense of myth and history.

As you continue down this remarkable stone road, the terrain shifts from highlands to lush, subtropical slopes around 2,800 meters, enriching your experience with warmer air and vibrant vegetation. The trek concludes with a rejuvenating visit to a natural hot spring swimming pool, offering a serene spot to relax and reflect on the captivating cultures and landscapes you’ve encountered along the way. This journey is a profound exploration of the heritage and natural beauty unique to the Lake Titicaca region.
