About the trekking

Discover a hidden valley just east of La Paz on a captivating two-day trek, ascending from 4,200 meters to 5,200 meters before descending to approximately 2,800 meters. This journey begins in a high, open valley, where a gentle trail guides you toward a mountain pass, allowing you to acclimate to the stunning altitude and solitude of the high Andes. As you cross the pass, the landscape transforms into a dramatic granite valley, featuring towering rock walls and intriguing formations that create the feeling of walking through a natural stone city. Amidst this untouched ecosystem, you may encounter grazing llamas and alpacas, along with various Andean birds soaring overhead. Follow a tranquil trail beside clear mountain streams, leading you into a dramatic canyon carved by centuries of erosion. Towering peaks frame your descent into greener valleys, culminating in a scenic end to your adventure, where transportation awaits to return you to the vibrant city of La Paz. This trek offers an unforgettable experience of nature’s grandeur and the preserved beauty of the Andes.
