As you journey from Yaco, the landscape transforms, revealing the surreal beauty of Awkani, where enormous stone blocks shaped by the elements create an otherworldly atmosphere with caverns, arches, and vibrant colors. This hidden canyon envelops you in silence and mystery, making each moment feel extraordinary.
The trek continues as you reach the Conchamarca community, ascending to the impressive ruins of Conchamarka, an ancient pre-Columbian fortress linked to the Tiwanaku civilization. Here, you can envision the site’s historical significance as a ceremonial center and lookout point, surrounded by stunning Andean vistas. The adventure culminates with a descent through the dramatic Murmuntani Canyon, where towering rock walls frame winding paths carved over millennia, inviting you to immerse yourself in a landscape of rock, sky, and flowing water. Your journey concludes in Junthuta, where transportation awaits to carry you back to La Paz, leaving you with unforgettable memories of this wild and enchanting region.
